What's included in our maintenance service?

Whole-home generator maintenance service checklist:

  • Change air filter
  • Change engine oil
  • Check voltage output
  • Change oil filter
  • Check for oil leaks
  • Check for fuel leaks
  • Replace spark plugs
  • Inspect spark plug connectors
  • Ensure proper spark gap
  • Adjust valve lash
  • Check battery water level and top off if needed
  • Clean battery terminal
  • Check fuel supply / pressure
  • Clear inside of unit of dirt and debris
  • Dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with EPA regulations
  • Run generator and check for proper operation
  • Simulate power outage to ensure generator is fully operational
  • Inspect generator controller run log for error codes
  • Record generator run hours and spec information
  • Check connections and voltage at transfer switch to ensure proper operation
